Google Forms fits best into Domains 3 and 4 of the Danielson Framework. These sections focus on communicating with your students as well as the parents of your students. Using Google Forms is a great way to assess your students' knowledge and their preferences. It can also be used to get feedback from the parents in relation to when they can meet for a meeting. Taking the time and effort to hear back from the students as well as their parents shows a strong passion for your job as their teacher.

Google Forms is something I am eager to use in my classroom. It can be used to quiz your students, gather information, find our their personal opinions in certain topics, or even just to take a poll on which movie to watch in class before break. It's also easy enough that the students themselves can make their own polls to use. They could make an About Me quiz on the first day of school to break the ice, or send it out on Facebook to gather responses for a project. The possibilities are endless as this tool can be used to fit your specific needs and fulfill any purpose.

The ISTE standards consist of Learner, Leader, Facilitator, Designer, Citizen, and Analyst. Google Forms fits the Designer category. The teacher must design the Form to fit their desired needs in the classroom. There are so many possibilities that Google Forms can be used for, it is up to the teacher to design it so that they maximize the potential and receive the desired results from their students.
The 4C's are Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity. Google Forms is a tool used for Communication. The goal of the Forms is to gather information or personal opinions of those taking it. While there is not much communication from the teacher to the students, this allows students to fully communicate to their teacher how well they know the information or what their opinion is of the subject at hand. It gives those that are often the listeners during class the chance to speak up about themselves without the pressure of being observed by the entire class. |
